Dove Academy is now enrolling for grades K-6. A limited number of spots are available for the 2008-2009 school year so submit your application packet as soon as possible. Contact Dove Academy's Main Office for all application materials. Dove Academy Principal, Frank Nardelli, will be conducting informational sessions and personal, guided tours of our three campus buildings and the surrounding grounds every Wednesday at noon. Please contact the Main Office if you and your family would like to R.S.V.P.
Dove Academy aims at providing its students with quality education that focuses on the Michigan core curriculum. We are committed to creating a school that gives every student the opportunity to SOAR. Every student will have the opportunity to be succesful. Every student will have the opportunity to develop his or her character and their academic skills. The elementary education we provide our students will serve as the foundation that they will build their lives upon. Not only do we prepare our students for a lifetime of academeic growth all the way through college but we have plans in place to prepare all of Dove's students for a happy and successful life. Our ultimate goal is that ALL Dove Academy of Detroit students develop their character and are proficient in reading, writing, and math.
Dove Academy is a safe place where children learn starting in full-day kindergarten that students and citizens help other people and make responsible choices. In small classes with 20-25 students, children have daily access to computers and weekly music, gym, art, and library classes. Struggling Dove Academy students are never left behind--they recieve targeted instruction through Title One, At-Risk, After School Tutoring, Special Education, and Summer School programs. We also offer an Extended School Program which enhances our student's educational experience before and after school.
